March Sketch Pack: One Sketch - Three Sizes!
The March Sketch Pack is ready for you and focuses on the same simple, flexible approach I’ve been sharing with you over the last couple of months! Each 123SWN Sketch Pack features a scrapbook layout idea that is adapted to work for the three different album page sizes that Creative Memories offers - 12" x 12", 8" x 8" and the Scrap Journal (6.75" x 10"). And the best part is that no math is required!
Instead of simply converting measurements, each sketch in this pack was created by adapting the proportions, not just the numbers. That means the overall design, balance, and visual flow stays the same! Simply choose the sketch that matches your album size and start creating. No math or guesswork - just easy, fast & fun scrapbooking!
All three sketches this month feature easy-to-layer blocks and bands plus cheerful circles to provide natural focal points. And each layout has space for SIX photos!

Now let's take a closer look at each finished layout!
March 12" x 12" Sketch Pack Layout
The March 12" x 12" Sketch Pack layout was created with the Natural Beginnings collection from Creative Memories using two subtle tonal papers from the collection as the base pages. There is space for two standard vertical and horizontal photos and a smaller horizontal accent photo. The circles provide perfect homes for a 4" circular photo, a title cluster and two smaller accent clusters. I mentioned in the video that you do not need to always have only three embellishment clusters on a layout - this one has four which serve to bounce your eye from circle to circle and create a zig-zag style of movement through the layout! Remember that Visual Triangles are a tool - not a hard and fast rule!
March 8" x 8" Sketch Pack Layout
The March 8" x 8" Sketch Pack layout was also created with the versatile Natural Beginnings Collection, but uses the green and brown patterns instead of the blues. I cut down Beige Cardstock to 8" x 8" pieces for the base pages (Tip: Make sure to save the offcuts for photo mats!), and love that I only needed to cut one 12" x 12" patterned paper to get the blocks and bands.
Once again there is room for two horizontal and two vertical photos, plus one smaller accent photo and a circular photo. I colored in some of the black and white line-style embellishments to further enhance the browns and greens, and fussy cut the title banners from a Natural Beginnings Mat Card.
March Scrap Journal/6.76" x 10" Sketch Pack Layout
While the 8" x 8" layout looks like a mini version of the 12" x 12" layout, the Scrap Journal size pages are compressed widthwise and expanded height wise, which requires adjusting all the components of the layout to keep it looking proportionate. But as you can see, the overall mood and feel stay the same once it is put together with the layered blocks, bands and circles.
I used the colorful On the Bright Side Collection from Creative Memories for this page as I'm using that collection throughout my own Scrap Journal this year. We still have room for six photos but you'll note that the small accent photo changes to a vertical orientation to work better with the decreased width and increased height of the Scrap Journal page. It was fun to break out the Lady Bug Memento ink pad to softly brush on a touch of color to the White Cardstock base pages.
