My name is Noreen Smith and I believe in happy scrapbooking! I've been a memory-keeper all my life and it's been my passion and pleasure to teach scrapbooking for more than 25 years! Here is a little about me:
I live close to the Canadian Rocky Mountains in Calgary, Alberta with my husband and two sons.
I hold Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Education Degrees, as well as a Masters of Education Degree, and I taught Visual Arts and Humanities for 29 years in a large urban school board.
I resigned from teaching in 2020 in order to devote all my time to teaching modern memory-keepers to learn how to document and preserve their memories and stories in easy, fast & fun ways.
It was my absolute pleasure to work for ten years as a contributing editor with the now defunct Creative Scrapbooker Magazine to provide blog posts, FB live demonstrations, magazine articles and how-to videos, as well as teaching in-person classes at the annual Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival.
My previous business - "Organized and Creative Mom" - was a hub for over 10,000 scrapbookers to learn and be inspired (so if you arrived here after searching for "OCM", you're in the right place!)
I was a Creative Memories Advisor and Team Leader with customers and team members all across Canada.
I spoke and taught at Creative Memories events and conferences in Canada, the US, Australia and virtually in Japan.
Most recently I spent the last four years behind the scenes in the scrapbook manufacturing industry as the Product Development Creative Manager for Creative Memories.
Now that I'm retired (ha ha!) I love my slow mornings with an extra cup of coffee and a good read; lots of time in my scrap space; discovering new-to-me local adventures and enjoying unhurried quality time with my family!
I've had an amazing journey and now I am ready to share all my best tips for easy, fast & fun scrapbooking here on my new 1-2-3 Scrapbook with Noreen platforms!
