September Sketch Pack: Fall Vibes - Three Layouts!
The September Monthly Sketch Pack is here! One main scrapbook sketch or idea adapted for all three Creative Memories album sizes!
If you're new to my Monthly Sketch Packs, each month I start with one scrapbook layout idea and adapt it to work in 12" x 12", 8" x 8" and 6.75" x 10" Scrap Journal pages. Rather than shrinking or converting all the measurements, I adjust the proportions of the paper pieces and photos so the overall design looks great in each format.
That means you can choose the album size YOU like to work in and let me do the math for you - yay!
For the layouts based on this month's sketch, I'm leaning into Fall and using the Autumn Abundance Collection from Creative Memories for both the 12" x 12" and 8" x 8" spreads, and then featuring a few whimsical pumpkin embellishments from the same collection alongside the On the Bright Side papers I enjoy using in my Scrap Journal layouts.

September 12" x 12" Sketch Pack Layout
I love how the papers look against the Hot Fudge Cardstock that I used for the base pages - so rich and cozy! And I had fun pulling out some older tools to use with these new papers and embellishments. For this layout instead of just cutting a 6" circle like the sketch calls for, I used the Ornate Arches 6" Circle Punch to create this beautiful doily shape that feels just right with the floral papers. This version has room for six photos and there's options for both landscape and portrait style photos.
I also used the Autumn Leaves Decorative Border Punch and created an offset look by layering a border punched from Caramel Cardstock and one of the cream colored tonal papers.
I know that many of my Aussie friends are moving into their Spring season right now, so remember that the sketch itself isn't tied to one season - swap out the papers and embellishments and it can work for any season!
September 8" x 8" Sketch Pack Layout
I actually struggled a bit with the paper and cardstock combos in the 8" x 8" and Scrap Journal layouts - I think because I used the white backgrounds whereas the 12" x 12" layout looked so rich with the dark brown base. I decided to add a little ink behind the embellishment clusters on both layouts to break up the white and act as a bridge between the white base pages and the richer papers.
For the scaled down 8" x 8" page I switched the location of the circular photo with the title/journaling area so I could fit another good size photo there. The rest of the layout feels much the same though since I adjusted the proportions while keeping the same overall structure. This version still has room for five photos.
I used the Leaves and Acorns Border Maker Cartridge here to pick up on the theme of the papers I chose for this layout, and used the same technique of layering two border strips to create an offset look.
September 6.75" x 10" Scrap Journal Sketch Pack Layout
And here's the 6.75" x 10" Scrap Journal version - same sketch, but an entirely different look!
The Scrap Journal always requires a little more conversion because its pages are taller and narrower than the square album formats. Rather than trying to squeeze the square design into that space, I adjusted the photo sizes and proportions so we can keep the same overall visual flow.
This version has room for five photos as well, and I repeated the same inking and border techniques! But I combined the On the Bright Side papers that I have been using for my 2026 Scrap Journal with the embellishments from Autumn Abundance - the colours and fun designs worked well with the whimsical On the Bright Side items!
