February Sketch Pack: Three Sizes, Three Vibes!

I've been so encouraged by your feedback of the first Sketch Pack launched last month and I'm excited to keep on creating them for you! The February Sketch Pack continues the same simple, flexible approach introduced with the January Scrapbook Sketch Pack, with scrapbook sketches designed to work for the three different album page sizes that Creative Memories offers - 12" x 12", 8" x 8" and the Scrap Journal (6.75" x 10").

And here’s what makes the 123SWN Monthly Sketch Packs so different from most sketch sets… you get the same mood and feel on each sketch, with no math required!

Instead of simply converting measurements, each sketch in this pack was created by adapting the proportions, not just the numbers. That means:

    • The overall design, balance, and visual flow stay the same

    • Your layouts feel cohesive no matter which album size you use

    • You don’t need to calculate, convert, or adjust anything

You simply choose the sketch that matches your album size and start creating. No math. No guesswork. Just easy, fast & fun scrapbooking!

All three sketches this month feature a nice central block made up of strips of patterned paper with trimmed borders at either end, and room for five good size photos. There are lots of possibilities with these sketches...let's take a look at what I created with them!

    February 12" x 12" Sketch Pack Layout

The February 12" x 12" Sketch Pack layout was created with the Winter Bliss collection from Creative Memories using Caramel Solid Cardstock for the base and Dark Green Solid Cardstock for the photo mats and borders - which were punched with the Wavy Scallop Border Maker Cartridge. The variety of stickers and die-cut embellishments were easy to cluster together and the title was fussy-cut from one of the Winter Bliss Mat Cards. Notice that there are spots for five photos - two 4" x 6" horizontal, two 6" x 4" vertical, and one cropped 4" x 4" photo.

    February 8" x 8" Sketch Pack Layout

The February 8" x 8" Sketch Pack layout was created with the beautiful Golden Hour Collection, which was offered in the first Secret Box of 2026. I echoed the pattern on the navy paper and used the Double Fan Chain Border Maker Cartridge to punch the side border pieces - so pretty! Once again there is room for two horizontal, two vertical and one square photo, but the photos are much smaller to fit better on the pages.

February Scrap Journal/6.76" x 10" Sketch Pack Layout

While the 8" x 8" layout looks like a shrunken version of the 12" x 12", the Scrap Journal size pages are rectangular, not square, which requires lots of adjusting to keep the layout looking proportionate as you have to simultaneously compress the width and stretch the height. But as you can see, the overall mood and feel stay the same once it has been right-sized!

It was fun to use the bright and cheery papers from Creative Memories NSD 2026 Project Recipe Kit and accent them with Blue Solid Cardstock. A border punched with the Double Scallop Border Maker Cartridge and then cut in half lengthwise repeats the lacy scallop design in the papers for a perfect complement. We still have two vertical, two horizontal and one accent photo, but the elongated nature of the Scrap Journal pages requires some different placement to fit them in without feeling awkward.

Which Size Fits Your Needs Best?

Whether you love the wide open space of a 12" x 12" page, prefer the compact charm of 8" x 8", or have embraced the personal size of 6.75" x 10", this sketch pack allows you to:

    • Work confidently in your favorite album size

    • Follow the same creative idea across formats effortlessly

    • Spend more time enjoying the process and less time planning!

I'll continue to release a brand-new sketch pack every month, giving you a consistent, easy way to keep your scrapbooking moving forward all year long - no matter what size you want to use.

You'll find the current month's Sketch Pack Download on the Resources page but ALL free downloads are available in the 123SWN Free Resources Library, so make sure to become a member today!

And once you've created your layouts, make sure to share them in our private 1-2-3 Scrapbook with Noreen Layout Sharing Facebook Group where you can help inspire others looking to create in the same format!

    Happy Scrapping!

What measures do I use for old 12 pages that are actually 11 3/8 inch? I have so many packs of the old 12s that it’s going to be a long time before I buy the true 12s of course I have to cut down all of the new papers. What a pain, but they are beautiful. Thank you Noreen.
